After two days of computer/internet issues and camera problems this tutorial is now ready to post! I love flexible ways to add juicy embellishments to pillows, lamps, etc. So, today I thought I would share a super easy way to make a ho-hum pillow shine, with the addition of a custom pillow pin.
You will need:
1. A piece of ornamentation that you love
2. E-600 glue
3. Skewer
4. A scrap of card stock or cardboard to squeeze a dollop of glue onto
5. A pin back (you can find these at a craft store)
Here is a close up of the pin back. They come in various sizes and you will need one that fits your piece.
Using your skewer, apply a bit of glue to the back of your object.
Then press your pin back into the glue and let the glue set for approximately 6-8 hours.
After the glue has completely set, you may pin it to your pillow. And WaLah! Your have a one-of-a-kind creation!
For this pillow, I made a cover of washed and dried burlap scraps. After the adhesive had completely dried, I added a loopy bow, made of seam binding. The pin was made of a piece of discarded furniture ornamentation.
